My new studio setup which i adore. |
This year was not the easiest year i've ever went through in my life (and it's only May). I got accepted in my vocational high school, and it wasn't the easiest thing in the world. Since i attend vocational high school (Fashion major to be exact), automatically i have to catch up not only normal school subjects like science and math, but also my fashion subjects. And boy it was a hassle.
Getting to learn how to sew was a long journey, and this is just the beginning. It even made me question my capability as a designer. It was exhausting and mentally draining, but i love every bit of it.
I also found a new love on journalling. Yes, journalling. And no, i didn't
do a bullet journal. The idea of having a tidy and pretty journal itself made me want to give up even before touching the journal (re: my handwriting is shit). Once i tried to do bullet journalling on the 7th grade and i ended up only filling 5 pages and left the rest of the book untouched. Since i'm physically and emotionally incapable to do a bullet journal, i decided to make an art journal!
That one simple faux leather binder i found at a local bookstore (that goes with my outfits fabulously) has became my prize possession, i carry it with me everywhere. I wrote poems, draw things i want to draw, slapped so many printed inspo pictures for inspiration (duh), and so much more. That book is me. I birthed that book. That book is my baby. My messy, astounded, art and poem filled baby.
When i think about it again, it's crazy how much time we spent on ourselves and how much progress we made. We either had accomplished our last messy chapter and moved on to a new challenge in life, or being stuck in the same messy chapter all these years. I'm still the same quirky, messy, occasionally slow bitch as i was a few months ago. But i learnt so many things throughout my journey. And that my friends, is a summary of my whereabouts all these months being m.i.a.
